Subject: Eradication of Pavement Markings Type: Plan
Question Date: 8/20/2026 8:59:34 AM
Between STA 10+75 to approximate STA 102+85 the double yellow line splits (provides median). Can these lines be eradicated such that the two temporary 10' lanes ae continuously side by side throughout the project? The concrete quantities for curb and gutter are insufficient for the concrete plant to open at night and incidental concrete pours needs to occur during regular business hours.
Answer   Date: 8/21/2026 3:35:13 PM
No, the separation is required for traffic safety related to on-coming conflicting vehicles in the northbound left turn lane.

With the west side of RTE 8 widening complete and two 10' lanes open to traffic , can storm drainage and curbing along the east side of RTE 8 be installed during daylight hours?
Answer   Date: 8/21/2026 3:34:52 PM
Work in compliance with the Limitation of Operations as indicated on Plan Sheet 1J(1) would not be prohibited.

Subject: Traffic Maintenance Plan Type: Plan
Question Date: 8/20/2026 8:25:03 AM
Plan sheet 1J(2) shows completion of widening (to include curb and gutter and paving) along west side of RTE 8 from STA 104+25 to STA 110+ 50. Plan sheet 1J(1) indicates storm drainage along west side of RTE 8 ( 4-4 to 4-14 to 4-15 to 4-3) is not to be installed until Stage 6. Is there a reason the west side of RTE 8 storm drainage cannot be installed in stage 2? It must be in place in order to install curb and gutter.
Answer   Date: 8/21/2026 3:34:40 PM
Storm sewer structures 3-5 through 4-4 cannot be installed in stage 2 because the existing storm sewer system must continue to convey drainage from the south and east until later phases when the proposed systems to the south and east are constructed.
