The line item has a quantity of 8 and the plans show all 8 are for the traffic signal. Who will be providing the test bores for the 2 OH Cantilever Structures? Should the quantity be 10? The test bores are not reflecting in the sign plans.

The total test bore quantity will be revised to 10. 8 test bores will be required for the signal plans, and 2 test bores will be required for the OH sign structures on the signing plans. An addendum is forthcoming.

In accordance with the VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications, the NS TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION MODIFY SIGNAL – CHALLENGER AVE AT W RURITAN RD includes temporary signalization.

According to the line items there are light poles on this project. When will the lighting portion of the plans be available for download?

Please be aware that there are two plan sets included in this contract. The lighting plans can be found on sheets 13(1) through 13(4A) of “A17_120611 Merged PDF Plan Set”. The individual lighting plan sheets are also under “A17 Plan Set” and are as follows: 0460-080-486 c501_13(01).pdf; 0460-080-486 c501_13(02).pdf; 0460-080-486 c501_13(2A).pdf; 0460-080-486 c501_13(03).pdf; 0460-080-486c501_13(3A).pdf; 0460-080-486 c501_13(04).pdf; 0460-080-486 c501_13(4A).pdf.

The incidental Summary (Sh.2K) references 2,419 Tons of NS Riprap CL.1 (Bid Item #0820). This material is shown to be on Sh.6. There is no reference to it on Sh.6. Additionally there is no Special Provision for the NS item either. Please clarify where the material goes and what it is used for.

The proposed riprap is detailed on typical section that covers Station 327 to 332 on sheet 2A(2). The shape can also be seen on the cross sections, such as sheet XS-040. The SPCN can be found on page 18 of the proposal document.
