The Contractor shall include the cost of rock excavation in lump sum Grading. Please refer to the General Notes #3 on page 183 of the contract document.

Please provide additional information on installation of advanced signal detection cameras. The special provision specifies that this item includes installation and routing of VDOT furnished wire and/or cable from the signal cabinet to the camera locations. Will this require the installation of additional conduit, or are spare conduits available?

For additional details regarding the installation of the cameras, please refer to the document titled “Advanced Signal Detection Cameras.pdf” located in the E Plan proposal folder. VDOT does not anticipate the need for any additional conduits, as the existing conduits are expected to be sufficient.

Please provide additional information on the installation. Where are these cameras being installed? Are they going on existing poles, mast arms, etc.? Can you provide a drawing of the finished product and the intersections/locations?

The cameras will be installed on the existing mast arms at the intersections of the following locations: 1. Rte. 340/522 and Country Club Road; 2. Rte. 340/522 and Reliance Road; 3. Rte. 340/522 and Shadows Drive; 4. Rte. 340/522 and Toray Drive; 5. Rte. 340/522 and Fairground Road.
