Sheet 2B(2), Grading Summary shows both Total Regular Excavation and Borrow as paid by plan quantities. The Borrow designation as plan quantity seems odd. With plan quantity for both Reg Ex and Borrow the Department is essentially making the project a LUMP SUM Grading job. Is that the intent or is Borrow miss labeled?

Plan Sheet 2A(4), note #3 "...where water is encountered, we recommend backfill consist of 8in No. 57 stone wrapped in geotextile..." When No. 57s are used in accordance with this note how are the No. 57s to be paid for? There only appears to be a Select Material CBR 30 pay item but not one for the No. 57.

Where water is encountered, No. 57 stone and geotextile fabric used for backfill will be measured and paid for at the contract unit prices for 302SD20-0002 and 504SD20-0005, respectively.
