On the typical section sheets 2A(1) through 2A(10); call out #4 for Subbase - 6" Cement Treated Aggregate (CTA) and call out #19 - 8" Cement Treated Aggregate (CTA) indicate that they should be in accordance with Special Provision for CTA dated June 18,2020. Please provide the Special Provision, we could not locate it in the bid documents or plans or on the VDOT website.

Please include the BOXLOK as a requirement for ALL buried valves, new and existing (for reset due to shift) and accessed from the surface via a conventional cast iron valve box or 6" PVC pipe to eliminate VBS - Valve Box Shift and assure proper operation. Bid item #0700 is listed as 10 tons of Hydraulic Cement. This does not account for a 12" mixing depth with 12% cement by volume. Will the bid item for Hydraulic Cement (0700) be updated to accurately reflect the application rate?

Section 519 specifies that “The sound barrier will be measured in square feet of surface area from the finished grade to the sound attenuation line shown on the plans.” The proposed front of wall grade is higher than the proposed grade on the back of the wall in some instances and some instances it is the opposite. Please confirm which proposed grade will be used to determine the bid item quantity or if it will be the higher elevation of the two proposed grades.

Regarding the addendum that addressed the storm sewer drainage sequence: Will the department please add temporary pavement at each of the crossings that require flagging to get across Rolling Road during the Phase 1 MOT sequence of construction? The existing pavement width does not appear to be adequate to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction and install full sticks of pipe across the road.

The Dominion pole shown on cross sections at Sta 2050+35 has subsequently been relocated to the northbound side of Rolling Road and will not be in conflict with Sound Barrer Wall G.

Per Cross section sheet, there is a pole at station 2012+76 that will be affected by the excavation. Will this pole be relocated by Dominion Energy prior to construction? If not, please indicate how to proceed.

The 4’ cut to finish grade was considered when Dominion Pole #PL77 was set, this pole was set at a depth of 12’ and will have approximately 8’ in the ground after the excavation is completed.

Quantity of concrete for Moment Slab is not part of the 177 CY. The 177 CY is the concrete quantity for Retaining Wall RW-3. Concrete for Moment Slab shall be in accordance with Special Provision PRECAST MOMENT SLABS.
