Bid Item 0870 "Sound Barrier Wall Absorptive" has a pay quantity of 169,000 SF. The method of measurement and Payment states payment is measured from finished grade to the sound attenuation line shown in the contract drawings. The bid quantity appears to be far in excess of our takeoff quantity. The quantity in the plans will remain as shown. The estimated quantity accounts for squaring off the top and bottom of the wall. Bidders should note the difference in vertical scales between the roadway profile sheets and wall profile sheets.
