GIS mapping indicates City of Harrisonburg owns the land near the intersection of Laurel Woods Ln & Rt 33. Can the city make this lot available for laydown & trailers? If not, does VDOT have extended ROW available near the project limits?
Answer

The contractor would need to negotiate with the City of Harrisonburg for use of their land as a laydown area. VDOT does not have extended ROW areas near the project limits.

The project description shows “SGR – Road Improvements”. Is that correct?

The project is actually a SMART Scale project and not a State of Good Repair (SGR) project. This will be corrected via a forthcoming addendum.
