Bid item #25567 Progress Schedule Update shows a quantity of 28 ea. The fixed completion date for this project is Sept. 23, 2022. Assuming a 60 day award, that would leave about 14 months of duration for this project. Why does bid item #25567 have twice that quantity?

Quantity of bit item #25567 should be 14 months.

Subject: Nationwide Permit Type: Permits
Question Date: 5/6/2021 1:42:28 PM
The nationwide permit expires on 3/18/22. There is a time of year restriction for instream work from 10/1 - 3/31. Can the temporary causeway and cofferdam be removed after the permit has expired? If not can the permit be extended by the department?
Answer   1 previous answer(s) Date: 5/12/2021 12:52:07 PM
The March 18, 2022 expiration date mentioned in the blue card packet is the boilerplate comment for all Nationwides. However, the NW3 permit was accompanied by the reporting RP-11 permit which moved the expiration date to September 20, 2024 (this meets the "unless indicated otherwise in the conditions specific to this project" criterion, so the date 3 pages earlier controls). The earliest expiration date of a permit for this project is the VGP-1 permit on February 14, 2023. If during construction it is discovered that the project may overrun the schedule such that cofferdam / causeway removal would occur after 2/14/2023, then we can obtain a permit extension.

Subject: Early Completion Date Type: Proposal
Question Date: 5/4/2021 10:19:04 AM
The special provision indicates an early completion date of May 23, 2021. This must be a typo since the project bids on the May 26, 2021. Please advise what the actual early completion date for the project is.
Answer   Date: 5/14/2021 3:25:07 PM
The early completion incentive / disincentive special provision should match the project completion date of September 23, 2022.
