I DO NOT SEE THE PLAN HOLDERS LIST, OR A BIDDER'S LIST??? I AM A SUPPLIER AND NEED TO KNOW WHO IS QUOTE THIS PROJECT SO THAT I MAY SEND MY QUOTE TO THEM.

Proposal Line Number 0030, 0040, 0050 are the three crack repair items on the project. The bid item provides the width and length of the cracks but not the depth of the cracks. The depth of the cracks will determine the amount of product used to fill the crack. It is impossible for the bidder to determine how much product to carry in their bid without knowing the depth of the crack. It would be better for the contractor and VDOT if there were a single bid item just for the material. Keep the existing 3 items for the prep of the crack and the filling and add 1 item for the material.

Material will not be separated into a separate item. Material should be quantified based on the crack depths and widths provided in the inspection report, available on ProjectWise. In the event site conditions prove to differ from the conditions within the inspection report, guidance in sections 104 and 109 of the specifications should be followed.
