"Joint sealer to be left in place" Please explain how this can be done. How is the contractor to remove the epoxy adhesive from the existing joint and separate the concrete from the seal?

If a large marine task was to be issued, it is safe to assume a start date of September 3, 2019 in the water. Due to weather/ temperature restrictions, marine work would be shutdown the end of November. A re-mobilization April 1, 2020, then end date of Term 1 May 12, 2020. This is a total of 4 months 12 days marine work, minus weather days/holidays. Would Vdot entertain a later end date for Term 1?

Nozzlemen with at least 100 hours of recent similar shotcrete application experience and supervisors with at least 3 years of recent similar shotcreting experience who can provide references showing satisfactory performance on at least three similar jobs may be approved as being qualified without gunning prequalifying panels. Mock ups will be incidental to the contract.

December-March are unworkable months due to weather conditions/ temperatures. Would VDOT entertain a winter demobilization / spring remobilization line item? Page 103, Renewable On Call Contracts General Provisions; If this contract is renewed for the total term of 3 years, having one mobilization to blanket all the mobilizations and remobilizations would be difficult to calculate.

Scope of work and work quantities have been already distributed per term year at each structure per task order. Each task order is anticipated to be completed in each term year. A new task order (at same location) will be issued the following term year(s).
