Regarding the anchor bolts as called out on sheet 11 of 13 - plans show using an aluminum bolt. In this application, wouldn't a stainless steel bolt be more appropriate? Also, is this rail mill finish?

Stainless steel bolts would be an acceptable alternate to the shown aluminum bolts. The rail should be mill finish.

There is a discrepancy between measurements on Sheet 6 of 13 and 10 of 13. The measurement for the concrete projection from the curb for the parapet shows 1'-6" on sheet 6 and 1'-3" on sheet 10. Please clarify.

The correct dimension is 1'-6". Plans will be revised to show this correction.

There are several discrepancies with the quantities and bid items shown in the Bid Proposal and the Plan set. They are as follows: The Bid Proposal has a quantity for Type B Class I PVMT Line markings that is not included in the quantity table on the plan set. The quantity table on the plans calls for a Cover Depth Survey but it is not included in the Bid Proposal quantities. The quantity table on the plans call for Type B Patching (HES) but it is not included in the Bid Proposal quantities. The quantity for Diamond Grinding in the Bid Proposal is shown as 212 SY and shown on the plans as 181 SY.

-The Bid Proposal quantity for Type B Class I PVMT Line markings is correct. This will be added to the plan set quantity table as a revision. -Cover Depth Survey will be added to the Bid Proposal quantities. -Type B Patching (HES) will be added to the Bid Proposal quantities. -The correct quantity for Diamond Grinding is 181 SY. The Bid Proposal will be revised.

The plans call for lightweight concrete to be used on the bridge deck. What is the maximum allowable unit weight for the lightweight concrete on this project?
