On the previous 4 to 5 paved shoulder projects let in the Bristol District, the actual quantity of mineral aggregate 21B's required to construct the project appears to be is less 10% of the quantity included in the proposals/contract. The proposal for K31 includes 42,000+ Tons of 21Bs. Based on the history of the previous projects, how many tons will the Department actually require the contractor to install for K31?

On this project in the area of the Coeburn bypass ( MP 46.5 to MP 49.9 )you will have 14’ to 10’ Shoulders. That is the reason for a large amount of aggregate 21B's.
