This project requires the excess excavated soil from Signal Pole Locations D, E & F to be disposed of at an off-site facility. Are there any special requirements for handling or disposing of the excess soil/slurry mixture from the bored conduit installations?

Per the Special Provision, soils excavated for the Pole Locations AND the associated conduits shall be disposed of offsite. This would include excess soil/slurry mixture.  
 
Subject: Metal Conduit 6" Jacked and Bored Steel Conduit Type: Proposal

The specification reference for Line 0910, Item 56025, Metal Conduit 6" Jacked and Bored Steel Conduit is incorrect. Please provide the material and installation requirements for this conduit.

The 6” steel conduit pipe sleeve shall be installed by the jacked and bored method specified in Section 302 of the Specifications. The 6” steel conduit material shall be in accordance with Section 232 of the Specifications for steel smooth wall pipe.

The revision dated June 8, 2015 stated that Plan sheets 1A, TS(2)1 & TS(3) were revised. We have reviewed sheet 1A on the Falcon Website and it does not look like the plan was revised. Please ensure the most up to date sheet is loaded to the Falcon Website. Also, it would be helpful if the changes to Sheet TS(3) were summarized on the revision data sheet.

It appears the value of the project has changed, has the project scope changed and to what extent.

Two signal projects have been combined and both locations are noted in the proposal, the original project includes upgrading traffic signal equipment at the Puddledock & Rte. 36 and extend EB left turn lane on Rte. 36. The additional work includes signal system improvements at Sycamore St./Crater Rd and Walnut Blvd intersection.
