Will Supplemental Specification S315QM1-1210, V (Overlay at intersections to paved roads) be applicable to all the overlay routes on this contract? It appears some routes have tonnage allocated to connections, yet others do not.
Answer   Date: 2/24/2014 3:12:53 PM
Yes, the Supplemental Specification S315QM1-1210, V (Overlay at intersections to paved roads) will be applicable to this and all Plant Mix contracts. Material quantities are included to pave connecting routes. Connecting routes include, but are not limited to VDOT maintained secondary, primary, other county secondary that have VDOT owned signal lights and some entrances that need to be tapered because the mainline paving is an increase in elevation. Locations not to be paved will be described with a note on that specific route location and/or connecting routes that have concrete gutter pans. VDOT Construction Section will also make final determinations in the field as necessary depending on field conditions.
