There is no specification for the Bimodal HVS Backplate. The high visibility backplate (when specified) should come with the signal head that is ordered for installation.

Is this item for the 12 fiber, 96 fiber, or both? The contractor needs to know to price accordingly. The specification does clarify this information.

The estimated price for Underground Splice Enclosure should include the possibility of installing any number strands of fiber at a splice point.

How many feet of fiber needs to be included with the pre-terminated patch panel pricing? This information is provided with intersection drawings. The specification does not clarify, this info varies depending on the length of the run of fiber.

The Pre-terminated Patch Panel as described in Section 808.02 should be estimated with a reasonable length of cable stub to be included with the unit price of Each for Pre-Terminated Patch Panel.  
 
Subject: Install Sign-Line Item 1330, 1370, & 1380 Type: Specifications

What is the difference in these 3 items besides mast arm or span? Between these items there are 3 places for specifications and none of them mention how the hanger assembly will be paid: included or separate line item. Spec 510 does not mention a hanger assembly, spec 703 does not mention install sign, and ATTD says "transportation of sign panel and installation of sign panel, hanger assembly and incidental hardware to complete the work. Please clarify how the hanger assemblies will be paid between the 3 items.

Hanger assemblies will be paid for individually as specified in the task order.  
 
Subject: Liquidated Damages & Task Orders Type: Proposal

How will the department handle task orders that have long lead time items such as controller cabinets and mainly signal poles & arms? Since there is not a requirement to keep material on hand or stored material will the contractor get issued a task to order the material and close the project until the material arrives?

There will be a separate task order to order materials and a separate task order to perform the work with the materials ordered.
