The 21-B quantity on the guardrail summary sheets doesn't add up to the bid item quantity amount. Does the department plan on placing the material in other locations?

The 21-B quantities are also to be used for the Guardrail Terminal Site Preparation as well as shoulder stone.

How wide will the stone shoulders be? Will the stone shoulders be placed at the same locations as the widening?

The stone shoulder will be placed as needed along the pavement widening to match existing shoulders (to fill in low spots) and will be paid for by the ton.

On page 160 line number 3 it states that suitable excavated material is to be re-used as shoulder buildup material and be placed and compacted along the edge of the newly widened road as needed. How will this be paid?

Revision has added Machining Shoulders to pay for suitable excavated material that is to be re-used as shoulder buildup material.
