Per the No Plan Assembly, the Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) references are 5.1, 23.1, 28.1 and 53.0 in the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual, 2011 version, revised April 1, 2015.

The typical section on Page 106 of the proposal states that total trench widening shall be 3' wide. The 2nd paragraph on Page 107 states that the shoulders shall be paved up to two feet. Recognizing that there are areas where widening will be limited, is the general expectation to widen two feet on both sides of the road?

The trenching operation will be 3' in total width. The width of the trenching operation outside of the the existing edge of pavement will vary between 1' & 2' at locations noted in the NPA. The remainder of the 3' width will be performed within the existing travel lane.

Density will be enforced in accordance with the requirements in SP 315 Trench Widening Asphalt Mixtures.
