As of today, there are no AASHTOWare files available for this project on either the CABB site or the ProjectWise web server. The These files are required to bid on projects through the new AASHTOWare bid software being used, and Virginia Department of Transportation no longer will no longer accept bids from the Expedite software which was used previously for electronic bidding. When and where will the AASHTOWare files required for electronically bidding on this project be made available?

Item 0330 - Group 2 Channelizing Devices is given with a quantity of 11,340 and in units of Day. As this item corresponds to MOT barrels, the quantity and units shown on the bid sheet don't appear to be sensible. Please advise.

The Demo. of Bldg. Parcel 003, D900 is listed as Item 0650 on the bid sheet as a lump sum item, but the only reference to it on the plans is on Sheet 23 of the construction drawings under Demolition of Buildings, and the description given there is Sewage Drain Field at Station 308.90 RT. Is this actually an excavation item, and not a building demolition? Please advice.

The D900 refers to an abandoned sewage drain field to be removed within the construction limits. It is also referred to on sheet 2A (Typical Section), sheet 2B (Grading Diagram, note 13) and on cross section sheet 3.

What materials are line items 0120 - 15" Pipe, 0130 - 18" Pipe, and 0140 - 30" Pipe, on the Schedule of Items comprised of? The materials do not appear to be listed in any of the project documents.

Line items 0120-15” pipe and 0130-18” pipe can use any material accepted in allowable pipe chart located on plan sheet 2C. Item 0140-30” pipe will be concrete material and will require use of ES-1 end section.
