Per sheet 127 of the PM9T-029-F19, N501 Order NO: 988 contract, Pimmit Dr. will receive per plan 1.50" of SM-9.5A & two lifts of IM-19.0 at 1.50" each. The IM-19.0 quantity listed is based off a 2.00" depth. The milling quantity is listed under 2-4" milling with a cut depth of 1.50". Building this street up seems unusual considering it has curb & gutter. Also, laying IM-19.0 at 1.50" depth is out of spec. Please clarify if these quantities and depths are correct.

It is not the intent to build-up this segment. The Depths shown for Flexible Pavement Planing Above 2"-4" and IM-19.0A are inaccurate. It is the Department's intent to perform 3.5" of Flexible Pavement Planing Above 2"-4" followed with 2" of IM-19.0A and 1.5" of SM-9.5A. No changes will be made to the Bid document prior to the Bid Letting. This route will be addressed during the Preconstruction Meeting.

Per sheet 6 in the VDOT 988 contract under Limitations of Operations “No milled areas shall be left unpaved from Thursday evening through Sunday evening.” A majority of the schedule consist of subdivision routes which seems unusual to see limitations of this nature. Please clarify if this statement applies to the whole contract or just an individual section & if so please clarify that individual section/traffic group this statement applies too.

The "Limitations of Operations" SPCN with a Reissued date of 7-12-16 shall apply to all other roadways outside of the parameters of section III.A.1 of the Cold Planing (Milling) Asphalt Concrete Operations Special Provision, with designated Traffic Group of XIV and above.
