The splicing detail for the existing 5th Street Hub shelter on plan sheet 3 is provided on 2C-01. Plan sheet 42 states "Pull 100' 96 CT SMFO cable into Elko Hub along existing conduit route. Contract Richmond Traffic operations center before splicing inside the Hub", but a detail for this location is not provided. Can you provide a splicing detail for the Elko Hub? How will this be paid?

On plan sheet 42, the contractor is required to "Pull 100' 96 CT SMFO cable into Elko Hub along existing conduit route”. Contractor is not responsible for splicing the fiber inside the Elko Hub.

There is no predetermined minimum wage rate for "guardrail erector" and there are guardrail items on the job. Will one be added the job to ensure proper pay?

VDOT Form C-51 - U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration Additional Classification and Wage Rate Request is available at the following link; http://vdotforms.vdot.virginia.gov/ . Pursuant to Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations, Section 5.5, After Contract Award Form C-51 is to be used to establish additional classifications(s) and wage rate(s) for Direct Federal and Federal-aid construction contracts when said rates or classifications are not provided in the General Decision.
