Subject: Temporary Work Bridge and Cofferdam Type: Permits

On sheet 124 of the proposal, it states that the temporary work bridge shall be constructed for the removal of the existing bridge. If the contractor determines that the demolition can occur without a temporary work bridge, will he still be required to install the work bridge? Also for the cofferdams, if excavation doesn't approach the stream or go below OHW will a cofferdam still be required to be installed?

The temporary work bridge was permitted for the convenience of the contractor. If the contractor can demolish the existing bridge and construct the new bridge without having to install the temporary work bridge, that is acceptable. If the excavation is being accomplished outside of OHW, then it will be up to the contractor to use whatever is necessary to perform the activity at that site without discharging or impacting the stream below OHW. Excavation outside of OHW is not part of our permits. Cofferdams are necessary if there are impacts below OHW.

Is it possible to get merged documents available on Project Wise? There are errors with the digital signatures that prevent the individual sheet files from being combined.
