Pages 36 and 37 of the proposal indicate that possibly not all of the structure is to be removed. Page 36 mentions one of the truss spans is to be salvaged and delivered in tact and page 37 indicates that the approach spans are to remain. This information is listed in the permit but is not listed formally in a description of payment for the bid item Dis. and Remove Str. Please clarify which portions of the substructure and superstructure are to be removed.

The entire superstructure and substructure shall be removed with the exception of Abutment B in Halifax County as outlined in the SPCN Dismantle and Remove Existing Structure (Str. No. 6902) on Page 3 of the proposal. A copy of the Memorandum of Agreement among the Corps of Engineers, The Virginia State Historic Preservation Officer and The Virginia Department of Transportation is included in the proposal (Pages 34 - 44) for information purposes as it was part of the environmental permitting process.

If bats are observed and the contracted has to suspend work, how will the contractor be reimbursed for the down time?
