Since the Salem District Plant Mix Proposals include a larger quantity of SMA this season than normal, would the Department consider extending the SMA work date until November 1, 2018 for this project?

Will the Work Hours ( Sunday thru Friday from 10:00 pm unitl 6:00 am ) be allowed for a multiple lane closure ( example: Closing Lane 1 and Lane 2 at the same time to allow for work to be performed safely In Lane 2 ) ?

Yes, the contractor can close two lanes in the three-lane section between 10pm – 6am. The contractor shall follow TTC 18.1 VDOT will also remove the SMA time restrictions and add the SP for early completion incentives via addendum.
