Per page 5 of the Special Conditions, the Disincentive penalty for not completing the UPC-17179 section of Road Closure is set at $20,000 per day for going over the 21 calendar day requirement. 1. Will this 21 day period be extended proportionately for days that are lost to weather? 2. Will there be an equal $20,000 per day 'incentive' awarded for days that the detour is completed ahead of the 21 day duration timeline? 3. Will the project work hours [7am to 9pm only] be waived during this 21 day road closure time period to allow 24 hour or night shift operations?

No. The Department has determined that 21 consecutive calendar days is adequate for the detour duration. The intent of the detour is to provide the contractor with a reasonable timeframe to safely address the grade changes in the roadway while minimizing the impact to motorists, and allowing some time for inclement weather. The 21 days does this. As indicated in the SOC, there is work within the project limits that precedes and follows the detour.

The Microstation files on Falcon only include the portion of the work from Station 40+00 to 57+00. Can files be provided for the work from Station 133+05 to 146+00?
