Road closures of short duration may be used. The roadway is to be open at the end of each day. Public notification and local coordination will be the responsibility of the contractor.

A disposal area has not been established by VDOT. Property owners abutting the project have expressed interest in surplus material.

There are no known utility conflicts. There is an existing waterline crossing the roadway in the vicinity of Stations 105+70 to 106+40 that is not in conflict should not be disturbed by construction activities.

Are ditch lines to be graded throughout project for positive drainage and slopes to be laid back?

All ditches are to be graded to drain. Back slopes are to be reestablished on existing percent of grade or flatter. All slope grading is to remain within existing Right of Way. See straight line diagram for additional clarification.

Please provide the "Limitations of Operations" special provision as stated in item #8 on sheet 98 of the proposal.

The work will be a rural rustic paving project. There are no significant commuter traffic patterns nor special events or commercial activities that would require limitations on the hours of operation. Based on these circumstances no limitations on operations would be required.
