There are two bid items in the proposal for maintenance of traffic that are lump sum bid items. Can we leave the temporary lane closure up from Monday to noon on Friday without putting down temporary line marking tape. We will be working continuously during that time. All lanes will be open from noon Friday to Monday.

The Contractor does not need to use temporary line marking tape with the drums as long as they are not encroaching into the other travel lane.

On page 129 under allowable closure hours the contractor is allowed to do a 24hr closure Monday Through Thursday. Three items below the chart it states that all lanes shall be open to traffic at the end of each workday. Which is correct? Considering that the contract is doing joint closures it makes sense that the 24hr 4 days a week should prevail?

The contractor may work for 24 hours Monday through Thursday. The statement that all lanes shall be open to traffic at the end of each work day pertains to the contractor needing to remove ALL Work Zone equipment to safely allow all lanes to be open when they are not working.

The proposal includes through Biditem 180, but the BidX files only include through Biditem 150. Please advise.

BidX is correct. VDOT will issue an addendum.
