Regardless the existing type, the new signal heads on the affected approach (Brookwoood Dr Northbound) should have polycarbonate housing and polycarbonate reflective backplates (HVSBs) to reduce the load on the existing arm.

The existing pole is a VDOT regional pole and its loading capacity can accommodate the proposed modification.
