Please clarify how the contractor is to perform the work in the areas of the guardrail removal and replacement. There are 7 areas that require excavation, curb removal and replacement, asphalt paving and guardrail work directly adjacent to an existing roadway. The first order would be the removal of the existing guardrail. How are we to provide safety to the traveling public and also to pedestrians (one location the guardrail is between the roadway and a sidewalk) in these areas? Each area is going to require a few days work without the guardrail in place.
