Subject: Luminaire & Fixtures Type: Plan

There is nothing in the proposal or plan pages referring to the light fixture and cobra heads. It does specify that AEP will be providing and installing the cable for the luminaire & fixtures. Please clarify if a line item will be added and the cable runs.

The question is clarified in the revision to the Lighting Notes which state: • L-15 The Contractor shall NOT furnish equipment grounding conductor(s) in all non-metallic conduit(s) for this project. AEP shall install all grounding wires with the installation of the luminaires. The grounding wire shall NOT be included in conduit bid item unit prices. ~~~ • L-24 the Contractor shall furnish and install all conduit, concrete foundations, light poles, and luminaire arms; the Town of Pulaski will have the luminaires, conductor cables, and electrical service furnished and installed by others after project completion and acceptance. The Town of Pulaski will have American Electric Lighting, Roadway Series 125, Cutoff Style units furnished and installed by others. The Contractor shall ensure the light poles and luminaire arms will support the referenced luminaire and shall ensure the luminaire will attach to the luminaire arm without modifications in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations. ~~~ No line item will be added since the contractor is not responsible for installing the fixtures or cable.  
 
Subject: Conduit & Bored Pipe Type: Plan

The plan pages in the proposal sate that AEP will install the 2" conduit and 2" bored pipe. The line item in the proposal does not state "install" and refers to spec 700. Please clarify the responsibility of contractor vs AEP.

The contractor is responsible for installing the 2 inch conduit, bored and trenched.  
 
Subject: Light Pole Foundation LF-1 Type: Proposal

The line item calls for a LF-1 foundation and since the proposal calls for a test bore should they be LF-1 Ty A Modified? Please clarify.

Section 700.04(c) does not apply to LF-1 foundations and test bores are not required. Only signal poles, high-mast lighting poles, and overhead sign structures require test bores.

According to the proposal there is supposed to be a test bore for each foundation. However, there is not a line item. Will a line item be added for test bores?
