Subject: Construction Signs Type: Proposal
Question Date: 7/22/2016 8:18:22 AM
Page 332 of the proposal states "Pay Item Construction Signs shall be paid only once per sign designation used. No additional payment will be allowed for multiple uses of the same sign. Does this apply for both permanent(on posts) and temporary(on sign stands) signs? Typically when lane closures are longer than 72 hrs. we have a subcontractor set up signs on metal posts and they charge us per setup. Will we be paid per site or are we expected to move the same sign 20 times for one payment?
Answer   Date: 7/22/2016 2:11:59 PM
The note on page 332 of the proposal pertains to both portable and permanent post mounted construction (temporary traffic control) signage. Construction signs shall be paid for once for the initial site they are required. The contractor will not receive payment on any additional sites requiring the same construction signs.
