The bid drawings, Sheet 2 of 22, state that the "Temporary Causeway - shall be paid for at the the contract price per lump sum ...", however there is no Bid Item shown for it. Please clarify.

Subject: BR27C Steel Railing Type: Plan

Please verify the Limits of Payment for the BR27C steel railing as shown on the Bid drawings 18 of 22 and 20 of 22. Drawing 18 shows the railing extending to the face of the backwall and Drawing 20 shows a 7'-3" terminal wall.

Drawing 18 shows two conditions for the terminal wall. The upper left detail shows the terminal wall on the abutment (which does not apply to this job) and the detail on the center left shows the terminal wall on the superstructure (applicable detail). The applicable detail “PART ELEVATION Terminal Wall on Superstructure” on Drawing 18 does not indicate limits of payment and leaves the limits of payment to Drawing 20 which provides additional details for the terminal wall on superstructure. Limit of Payment on Drawing 20 is correct.
