August 27 bid date. Contract Execution could be as late as Oct.27, 2014 and a completion date of Jan. 9, 2015. 11 Weeks including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Has VDT adequately assessed the time for completion? Will there be a VDOT commitment for early contract execution? Will temperature restrictions for paving and pavement markings be waived?

An addendum will be issued extending the completion date to May 2015 to allow for paving within temperature guidelines.

Please supply the 28-day design strength for the A5 concrete in the prestressed voided slabs. Thank you.

Following note will be added via post-award revision to plans on Sheet 1 of General Notes: Prestressed concrete in all beams shall be Class A5 having a minimum compressive cylinder strength at 28 days equal to 5000 psi and a minimum compressive cylinder strength at time of release of strands equal to 4000 psi.
