The pay item for NS Traffic Signalization Guy Wire has a quantity of 6ea. However the measurement and payment states the UOM is to be paid per linear foot. please advise if the UOM should be LF or EA. If the UOM is each, what is to be included in this pay item.

An addendum will be forthcoming to revise the Guy Wire pay item. For clarity, this Guy Wire pay item will be used in cases where the Guy Wire needs to be replaced on an existing wood pole. Line Item 1120 Wood Pole CL. 3, 45', does include the guy wire per Sec. 700.06 of the R&B Spec, "Wood poles will be measured in units of each and will be paid for at the contract unit price per each for the class and length specified. This price shall include furnishing and installing wood poles, thimble-eye bolts, guy wires with guards and anchors, excavating, backfilling, compacting, disposing of surplus and unsuitable material, and restoring disturbed areas." So, in cases, where we use line item 1120 Wood Pole, Guy Wire will not be paid for separately as it is included in the cost of the wood pole.
