1) What is the minimum and maximum thickness of the spray-on liner? If the design thickness is determined by an applicator/installer, is the DOT considering allowing a contractor to determine their pipe design? If min/max thicknesses are not known and are driven by the applicator's specific cementitious/geopolymer material, how were the hydraulics calculated if thicknesses can vary? 2) What AASHTO design methodology is used to determine liner thickness and burial depth? What AASHTO Chapter is referenced to design spray applied liners? 3) Would VDOT consider allowing method B Cat C- HDPE pipe liner provided the flows can be matched? Can the DOT provide flow calc information for us to try and mimic? What would be a minimum allowable HDPE liner size? 4.) Are there photos or inspection reports available for the various pipes?

Please refer to the Special Provision for Pipe Rehabilitation. This contract is specific to Category D Spray-On liners; other methods or categories will not be allowed under this contract. Flow calculations are not available. Inspection reports can be provided after award.

to do a proper liner design you gave the depth of cover in the first RFI, however we also need to know depth of water table, should we assume it is at the top of pipe? also what % ovality should be used? Shale we assume 0% for all the pipes?

How can we access to the project sites? There are three different locations far apart from each other. At Chesterfield county location it was surrounded by businesses. We need to have legal access point to go to the site. Please provide VDOT approved permit to enter into these locations. How do our equipment unload and access to the site?
