Subject: 8" Sanitary Sewer and MH "A" Type: Plan
Question Date: 3/20/2020 9:12:16 AM
RE: Plan Sheet 8(4) and Plan Sheet 8(10) The plan location for San MH "A" is in the outside eastbound travel lane of Rte. 419. This structure has a depth of 12 feet. This structure is also a drop manhole will flow across all lanes of Rte. 419. Plans also show a 10' connection pipe at a depth of 12 feet which extends into the inside travel lane of eastbound Rte. 419. In order to accomplish this work as designed, we will not be able to maintain one lane of traffic on eastbound Rte. 419. The MOT plans do not address the detour that will be required in order to complete this work. The Utility plans do not address the pump around that will be required for the work or provide the flow rate of the exiting pipe. Please address the MOT for this portion of the work. Please also address permissible means of pumping the existing sewer across all lanes of Rte. 419 during installation of MH "A" and the 8" DI connection pipe. Please advise how this work is to be accomplished

Subject: Temporary Signal for Intersection 1, 2, & 3 Type: Other
Question Date: 3/16/2020 9:32:48 AM
Has the department established that there is enough right-of-way to install down guys for the wood poles? Most of the locations seem to show that there is not enough room. If not, will the department provide an alternate plan for the temporary and absorb the cost?
Answer   Date: 3/17/2020 10:59:09 AM
At the intersection of Route 419 and S Peak Blvd, more than 8' of construction easement is provided behind the temporary wood pole F. For all other locations, more than 10' of construction easement is provided behind the temporary poles. The Contractor should design the direction, number and type as necessary for guys. In locations where easement is limited, the vertical type of guy can be considered as shown in standard WD-2.
