Route 58 milepost 19.505 to 20.436, page 176, page 1 of 12 in the route descriptions, SM-12.5E: We would recommend using SM-12.5E mix on the entire 0.931 mile travel lane or both lanes entirely. The current quantity of 85 tons, of a specialty mix (SM-12.5E), is impractical to manufacture and install in these small quantities. This is similar to why we don’t use SMA at intersections only.

The Department will modify the section to include Asphalt SM-12.5D mix only. The changes will be made to the proposal in forthcoming addendum.
