The 5th paragraph under D Connector Block... states, "The contacts SHALL be self-wiping WITH A SHOULDER AT THE BASE OF EACH MALE CONTACT so that it recesses IN(side) the female block for a moisture-tight seal when mated". The question is... “Do the individual male pins actually have to provide individual seals within the contact block as the language implies?”

The benefit of each contact having its own seal is that if moisture gets in one contact, the rest do not fail for the same reason. Plastic connector block is not acceptable.	8/16/2016
