In order to generate bids in accordance with the plans, will we be allowed to leave the lane closure (as in other phases) for longer periods of time in order to build the shoulders in accordance to VDOT standards? Without more time to properly install the pavement structure, a responsible bid cannot be achieved regardless of anticipated areas of productions.

VDOT has revisited the time limit associated with the temporary lane closure. It is hereby changed to 6:30 PM Sunday night to 5:30 AM Friday morning, allowing for continual work. Therefore the shoulder strengthening can be constructed as designed. Bid items will not change. Note #5 on sheet 1H and others as applicable within the MOT/SOC section of the plans will be revised to reflect this change. The pages are posted on the Construction website under ANNOUNCEMENTS. 10/27/2015
